Â鶹ŮÀÉ SOA RECOGNIZED AT AIA FLORIDA CONVENTION

Â鶹ŮÀÉ School of Architecture was well represented at the 2023 AIA Florida Convention in Orlando, FL. On July 29, 2023, Assistant Professor Daniel Bolojan and Director Joseph Choma participated as keynote speakers at the annual convention. Their talk titled, 'The Future is Now: How AI is Shaping the Practice of Architecture,' was presented to a full house (standing room only) at the convention. Additionally, Director Choma participated on a panel discussion on the dialogue between professional practice and architectural education.Ìý

Â鶹ŮÀÉ SoA faculty members also received awards at the event. Associate Professor Jeff Huber received the prestigious Presidential Citation and Assistant Professor Daniel Bolojan received a Merit Award for his research on creative applications of artificial intelligence.Ìý

Associate Professor Huber and Adjunct Instructor John Clark taught a workshop at the convention. Additionally, Adjunct Instructor Seth Yeslow also taught a workshop at the convention. Approximately, twenty Â鶹ŮÀÉ SoA students attended the convention. In particular, Â鶹ŮÀÉ architecture students designed an exhibit to showcase how artificial intelligence is being incorporated into the core design studio sequence.Ìý
