ntelligent-autonomous-drone-aid-delivery-system-minimal-human-intervention

Overview

The capstone project centers on developing an AI-powered aide delivery system that uses a network of specialized drones. This includes a reconnaissance/delivery drone for identifying people in need and deploying aid; all coordinated through a home system to minimize the need for pilot involvement. In emergency response scenarios, such as natural disasters, conflict zones, or remote humanitarian crises, timely and efficient aid delivery can mean the difference between life and death. Challenges like terrain, adverse weather conditions, and the logistical constraints of traditional delivery methods hinder access to critical supplies like food, water, and medical aid. Humanitarian agencies and emergency responders frequently rely on ground-based transportation, which is slow, resource-intensive, and sometimes inaccessible if infrastructures are damaged and environments are hostile. These delays can lead to the loss of life that is otherwise preventable if aid is more accessible.

Community Benefit

The system will provide benefit to communities because it aims to improve efficiency in emergency response by automating critical tasks and integrating AI-driven surveillance and delivery. Like stated before, this will ensure faster and safer aid delivery in situations where time is of importance leading to preventative measures of loss of life while also supplying a different methodology to the traditional ways that relief and support are deployed.
