(Advanced Standing Program)

TheÌý Master of Social Work (MSW) – Online Advanced Standing Ìýprogram is a clinically focused, fully online graduate program designed for Florida residents who have earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution within the past five years.

Built on a cohort model, this rigorous program prepares students for advanced professional practice in diverse settings, including mental health, healthcare, child welfare, and community organizations. Through a blend of self-paced learning, live virtual sessions, and a local field placement, students gain the critical skills, ethical foundation, and hands-on experience needed to thrive as licensed clinical social workers and changemakers in their communities. The program can be completed in as few as three semesters and is offered full-time, beginning each summer.

Admission Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree earned within the last 5 years from a CSWE-accredited program*
• Minimum 3.5 GPA in the final 60 credits of the BSW program
• Florida residency required
• No GRE required
• Three letters of recommendation (1 must be a recommendation from your practicum professor or coordinator)
• Personal statement outlining goals, readiness, and alignment with the MSW program
• Must apply for full-time study only *International degrees may be considered if recognized by CSWE’s International Social Work Degree Recognition and Evaluation Service or covered under an approved memorandum of understanding.

Note: Applicants who narrowly fall short of the GPA requirement may petition the MSW Admissions Committee for exceptional consideration.
