Linda Medvin

Executive Director

Linda Medvin, M.Ed., is the Executive Director of Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s Arthur and Emalie Gutterman Family Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education (CHHRE). Prior to joining Â鶹ŮÀÉ in July, 2015, she worked for Broward County Public Schools for 27 years as a middle school teacher, a resource teacher for Holocaust Education, and as the District’s Multicultural Curriculum Specialist overseeing Florida Statute 1003.42: Required Instruction of the Holocaust, African and African-American History, Women’s and Hispanic Contributions to the United States.

A member of the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) Commissioner’s Task Force on Holocaust Education since 1996, she has served as Chair since 2009 - 2019.

Ellen Sax

Administrative Assistant

Ellen Sax is the Administrative Assistant at the Gutterman Family Center for Holocaust and Human Rights.Ìý She and her husband previously owned a commercial printing company in Sunrise, FL for 40 years.Ìý

Nahid Haghayegh

Graduate Research Assistant

Nahid is the Graduate Research Assistant for the Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s Arthur and Emalie Gutterman Family Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education (CHHRE). She is presently pursuing her doctoral degree in Comparative Studies with a focus on Culture, Society, and Politics. She has dedicated more than a decade to the field of education and is deeply passionate about teaching Holocaust studies and addressing social injustices.
