Named in recognition of Â鶹ŮÀÉ alumnus and serial entrepreneur Scott H. Adams, the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship has inspired and equipped students to think entrepreneurially, turn ideas into action, and create meaningful impact since its formation in 2001. As a core program of the Florida Atlantic Entrepreneurship Institute, the Adams Center continues to connect students from all majors and disciplines with experiential learning, mentorship, entrepreneurial education, competitions, and Florida Atlantic’s broader entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Oasis of Excellence
The center is designated as an Oasis of Excellence by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA). The nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, D.C., honors more than 70 college and university programs nationwide that introduce students to the foundational arts and sciences, American heritage and a diversity of viewpoints.
Business Pitch Competition
Every year, numerous tracks of venture teams compete for prize money and the possibility to advance to state and national competitions and present their business pitch to local Angel and VC groups.
The Family Business Initiative of the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship at Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s College of Business is dedicated to helping family firms become sustainable, entrepreneurial, and innovative. The initiative advises, assists, and develops innovative practices among family firms in South Florida.

The Florida Atlantic Entrepreneur Boot Camp
The Entrepreneur Boot Camp is a fast-paced certificate course that empowers promising entrepreneurs and ambitious small business owners with the tools to create a Business Model Canvas, secure financial support, and design the right operations for success.
Our mentors go through The Runway at Florida Atlantic's onboarding process. Mentors offer Florida Atlantic students, faculty, alumni, and Florida Atlantic Business Pitch Competition participants an opportunity to receive 1:1 mentoring with highly experienced entrepreneurs and executives. The mentoring program provides practical, pragmatic essentials to entrepreneurs as they develop their businesses and launch their entrepreneurial ventures.
Veterans Florida Entrepreneur Program
Â鶹ŮÀÉ has been a network partner of the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program for 11+ years. This program offers on-campus instruction and access to local resources, including business leaders and mentors.
