- Transient Student Enrollment
- Cooperative Education
- Study Abroad
Each program has different eligibility and financial aid requirements. Review the information below carefully and contact your Financial Aid Representative with questions. Additional processing may be required, and financial aid funds may be delayed.Ìý
Transient Student Enrollment
Transient enrollment allows Â鶹ŮÀÉ students to take approved courses at another eligible institution while working toward their Â鶹ŮÀÉ degree.Ìý
Types of Transient Enrollment
Concurrent Enrollment
You are enrolled at Â鶹ŮÀÉ (your Home School) and another eligible institution (your Host School) during the same semester. Â鶹ŮÀÉ determines your financial aid eligibility based on your combined enrollment at both schools.Ìý
Outgoing Consortium Enrollment
You are degree-seeking at Â鶹ŮÀÉ but take all of your courses at another institution during the semester. Your Â鶹ŮÀÉ enrollment must be zero credit hours to be considered an outgoing consortium student.Ìý
Incoming Consortium Enrollment
You are taking courses at Â鶹ŮÀÉ but are degree-seeking at another institution. Your Home School is responsible for determining and administering your financial aid.Ìý
How Transient Enrollment Can Affect Your Financial AidÌý
Taking courses at another institution can affect how and when your financial aid is disbursed.Ìý
For example, if you are enrolled in 6 credits at Â鶹ŮÀÉ and 6 credits at another institution and have been offered Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans:Ìý
- Your Pell Grant initially disburses based on your 6 Â鶹ŮÀÉ credits.Ìý
- Your Federal Direct Loans can disburse because you are enrolled at least half-time.Ìý
- The additional Pell Grant eligibility for your approved courses at the Host School can be considered after Â鶹ŮÀÉ receives and processes your required transient enrollment documentation.Ìý
This means your full financial aid may not disburse at the same time. Complete all required transient paperwork as early as possible to help avoid delays.Ìý
