To be eligible for the Dual Enrollment program at �鶹Ů��,��you must meet all of the following requirements and submit the application materials by the deadline:

1. Be enrolled in grades 6-12 in either a Palm Beach or Broward County public high school, home education program, or approved private school
2. Receive approval from your high school (via the signed Permission Form)
3. Students in grades 10-12 must have at least a 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA. Students in grades 6-9 must have at least a 3.5 unweighted cumulative high school GPA.��
4. Have completed at least 4 high school credits, with 1 credit in English and 1 in math. Your high school transcript must clearly indicate this information.
5. Take the ACT, SAT, CLT, Accuplacer, or PERT and achieve all of the minimum scores on any one test. Scores from different tests cannot be mixed and matched.

Students must meet the eligibility requirements prior to the application deadline.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Ensure you have submitted all your required application documents by the deadline for the term you intend to take classes at �鶹Ů��.

If you want to register for a class that requires prerequisites, co‑requisites, or a placement/proficiency exam, and you have already met those requirements through previous college‑level classes, you must get a course override before registering.

To do this, you should contact the academic department that offers the course. The department will review your request and may give you a course override, which allows you to register for the class. You will need to provide proof that you have completed the required prerequisite(s), such as a transcript.

We strongly recommend requesting a course override at least two weeks before registration opens to allow enough time for review.

Please note: The Registrar’s Office cannot give or help obtain course overrides. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the appropriate academic department to request the override needed to register for their classes on time.

Dual Enrollment students are not required to submit residency or immunization documentation to participate in the program. However, if you have indicated on your application that you are noncitizen or nonresident, you may be required to supply additional information along with your application documents. Please contact hsdual@fau.edu for any questions related to residency.

We recommend continuing to monitor available courses throughout Drop/Add week, adding yourself to a waitlist, or speaking with your Guidance Counselor about adding some back-up course options. If you’re adding more course options, you can submit additional signed Permission Forms via the OwlDocs portal until the last day of Drop/Add. Our office cannot provide any overrides to create space in a full or waitlisted class.

Early Admission is offered for students who have demonstrated academic excellence, are seeking a rigorous 12th grade experience at the university level and wish to earn an undergraduate degree from �鶹Ů��. If accepted through Early Admission, students will begin classes at Florida Atlantic as a freshman instead of attending their senior year of high school.
