Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens, such as permanent residents, parolees, asylees, and other individuals granted indefinite stay by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and certain non-immigrants holding valid visas, may be considered as Florida residents for tuition purposes, provided they meet the requirements for residency for tuition purposes. In general, the student must be lawfully present with a valid immigration or visa status through the end of the term in which Florida residency classification is being sought and must not be residing in Florida primarily for educational purposes.
