The Department of Psychology is currently recruiting applications for the 2026 Fall matriculation class. We are looking for bright, motivated students who have an inquisitive mind and a passion for psychological research. Work alongside world-renowned faculty who are utilizing novel techniques to perform cutting-edge research into human cognition, development, behavior, and social dynamics. Graduate Admission Requirements

Graduate training begins during the Fall semester and students are considered Full-time. Applicants must have received, or be candidates for, a baccalaureate degree from an approved college or university. All graduate applicants must meet each of the following requirements:

• The department plans to make GRE scores optional for the 2026 admission cycle. If you have taken or plan to take the GRE and would like for your scores to be considered as part of your application, please submit your scores with your application materials through the GradCas system.Ìý

• Grade point average (GPA) at 3.0 (B average) or higher during the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate coursework.

*It is important to note that the average GPA for accepted applicants in recent years is approximately 3.6.

• Three letters of recommendation from persons who are familiar with the applicant’s potential for graduate study in psychology.

Important Dates

• The application deadline for theÌý Ìý Experimental Psychology Ph.D. program Ìý isÌý Ìý December 1st each year.
• The application deadline for theÌý Ìý M.A. program in Psychology Ìý isÌýApril 1st each year.

Please be advised that the Department of Psychology does not offer a degree in Clinical Psychology.

Doctoral students who abide by student employment requirements may be granted graduate assistantships and full or partial tuition waivers.
