Biography

Dr. Kara Evans is an academic nursing leader, educator, and registered nurse with more than a decade of experience in higher education. Her career has included roles as nursing faculty, Professor of Practice, Director of Student Learning Outcomes, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dean of Instruction and Nursing Program Director. Her teaching experience spans nursing research, health assessment, leadership and management, community health, foundations of nursing practice, global health, and health promotion.

Dr. Evans specializes in assessment, evaluation, accreditation, curriculum development, and nursing education. She has led institutional and programmatic accreditation initiatives involving MSCHE, CCNE, and ACEN and has worked with faculty to strengthen curriculum, student learning outcomes, and evidence-based teaching practices.
