Our Centers

Math Learning Center (MLC)

°Õ³ó±ðÌýMath Learning CenterÌý(MLC), was created to help Â鶹ŮÀÉ students develop their math problem-solving skills so they have the confidence and ability to solve math problems on their own. The MLC offers FREE drop in group tutoring online and in-person. Tutoring is available for most undergraduate mathematics courses.

Center for Learning & Student Success (CLASS)

CLASS Ìý provides free Supplemental Instruction (SI), tutoring and other support to students in courses outside of math and writing throughout the Boca Raton and Broward campuses. E-success programs, eTutoring, and other online support is also available. CLASS oversees a variety of programs to support students in their academic journey, including Civic Literacy workshops and theÌýScience Learning CenterÌý(SLC).

University center for excellence in writing (UCEW)

TheÌý UCEW Ìýprovides appointment-based support to help all members of the University community to enhance their writing online and face to face. While we support all campuses, there is only one center.

The Speaking Center

TheÌý Speaking Center Ìýsupports students, faculty and staff across the university who strive to become more confident and effective speakers. Speaking Consultations are available online and face-to-face.

The office of undergraduate research and inquiry (OURI)

°Õ³ó±ðÌý Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry Ìý( OURI ) serves as a centralized support office of faculty and students who are engaged in undergraduate research and inquiry across all colleges and campuses. We offer and support university wide programs such as undergraduate research grants, annual undergraduate research symposia, undergraduate research journals, prestigious fellowships and scholarships, and the Undergraduate Research Certificate, to name a few.

Academic Success Initiatives (ASI)

Our office is responsible for the assessment of the General Education checklist, Â鶹ŮÀÉ's general education curriculum, and supports the development of existing and new Gen Ed courses through consultation and training. Our assessment work extends through collaborations across the university to use student outcome and other data to inform practice and recommend improvements.

Scholars Program

Â鶹ŮÀÉ considers it a privilege to offer National Merit scholars a wealth of tailored experiences and opportunities that include top-notch programming and support services, as well as exceptional research opportunities.

Learning Assistant (LA) Program

As a central initiative within Florida Atlantic’sÌý Quality Enhancement Plan Ìý(QEP), Education Reimagined, theÌý Learning Assistant (LA) Program Ìýtransforms teaching and learning by supporting faculty in redesigning courses to incorporate active, collaborative learning facilitated by trained undergraduate LAs.

Academic Integrity

Students at Â鶹ŮÀÉ are expected to maintain the highest ethical standards. Dishonesty is considered a serious breach of these ethical standards, because it interferes with the University mission to provide a high quality education in which no student enjoys an unfair advantage over any other.
